Microsoft Imagine Cup 2018: Nigeria

Microsoft Imagine connects students with the tools, resources and experiences they need to elevate their skills for today’s working world. Whether it’s building a game, designing an app or launching a project, Microsoft Imagine helps students develop their ideas and boldly bring them to life.

In Nigeria, the competition is one of the few undergraduate competition that has birthed a lot of start-ups in the country, and one that is helping to bridge the unemployment gap. Over the past ten years of the competition in Nigeria, the Imagine Cup brand has engaged directly with over +50k students across the six-geopolitical zones in the country.
Nigeria Teams year-on-year go as far as representing the region for the same number of times at the world finals except for FY17 where the team failed to qualify from the MEA live event held in Lebanon.
In the number of World finals, Nigerian teams have participated, there has always been a media representation from the country to cover the event, hence making the Imagine Cup SOV in the country very high.
