1. Focus
A good leader must always have his eyes glued to the goal and make appropriate advances for achieving them, he must develop incredible selective ignorance, Otherwise he’ll get drowned by trivial issues.

2. Confidence
A good leader instills confidence and followership by having a clear vision, showing empathy and being a strong coach. He must believe in himself and the choices he makes and be able to make people believe in his beliefs.

3. Transparency
A good should open up to his followers and also be open up to insights from his followers, he must be 100% transparent and not hide unneccessary details from his followers or keep them in the shadows about occurrences

4. Integrity
A good leader must have self-value and value his followers as well, he must not be wanting in character, he must be honest and have strong moral principles.

5. Inspiration
There is no such thing as a self-made man. Leaders aren’t self-made; they are driven. people or circumstances must have motivated and inspired him, he must have been fueled by his beliefs and an internal drive and passion. He must therefore be willing (and able) to motivate and inspire others.

6. Passion
A good leader must love what he does. he must be willing to obsess over his work and let it consume him. No matter how successful your business might become, he is never satisfied and constantly push to do something bigger, better and greater. Someone who leads by example and not because he feels it’s his responsibilty, but because it is his way of life.

7. Innovation
For a leader, innovation is essential for not only success but also survival. The innovators are the leaders. They cannot be seperated. Whether it is by thought, technology or organization, innovation is our only hope to solve our challenges.”

8. Patience

A good leader must be able to wait for things to get done, this tests his commitment to the cause. The path to great things is always tough, but the best leaders understand when to abandon the cause and when to stay the course.

9. Authenticity

Every leader is inspired or motivated by someone, he has a role model that he looks up to. He must however not lose his authenticity, he must learn different paths, and then take his own path.

10. Open-mindedness

leaders need to keep an open mind while being flexible, and adjust if necessary. When in the startup phase of a company, planning is highly overrated and goals are not static. A leader’s commitment should be to invest, develop and maintain great relationships.

11. Decisiveness
A good leader must be able to think straight at all times irrespective of the surrounding enviromental stress, and he must be able to make appropriate and firm decisions.

12. Optimism
For a leader to achieve greatness, he must create a culture of optimism. There will be many ups and downs, but the prevalence of positivity will keep the company going.

13. Generosity
A good leader must be willing to offer the best of himself. When one person tries to help others to become successful, everyone grows collectively.

14. Persistence
Every good leader remains absolutely persistent to get whatever he wants, he never settles for less.

15. Insightfulness
It takes everyday insight to be able to separate that which is really important from all the incoming tasks. When your insight is right, you look like a genius. And when your insight is wrong, you look like a dummy.

16. Communication
The communication skills of a leader must be impeccable, every worker should know what his expectations are since he would have communicated it to them clearly beforehand.

17. Accountability
He must be ready and able to claim responsibility and be accountable for his actions and the actions of his subjects. Does he always give excuses whenever a blame falls on him? He most likely isn’t fit to be a leader.
